The Bunker achieves Veeam Gold Cloud and Services Provider status

CSP is in the top ten Veeam Cloud Service Providers within the UK.

Ultra-secure Cloud Service Provider (CSP) The Bunker has achieved Veeam Gold Cloud and Services Provider status. The Bunker’s pioneering approach to security and the uniqueness of its platform, combined with Veeam’s leading backup solutions mean that it can provide customers with a complete back-up and archive solution, which protects data in the most secure and resilient manner possible.

Veeam is an innovative provider of solutions that enable Availability for the Always-On Enterprise™, including Veeam Cloud Connect, which provides fast, secure and reliable backup, replication and recovery to the cloud. The Bunker has been offering Veeam Cloud solutions to a number of its managed service providers for several years and has seen significant uptake of this. The Bunker was invited by Veeam to become a Gold Cloud and Services Provider and currently sits in the top ten Veeam Cloud Service Providers in the UK.

The Bunker is well placed to deliver Veeam Cloud Connect solutions and already has a significant estate in place, with technology at the back-end of its Veeam Cloud Service Provider platform. In addition to highly resilient block storage for hot backup and replication datasets, it’s unique object-based storage platform, built on IBM Cleversafe, provides an ultra-secure cloud storage environment. Ultimately, this provides deep-archive and data protection capabilities in a way that provides an ultra-secure option for customers.

Greg McVey, Head of Cloud Storage at The Bunker, commented: “As Veeam was designed from the ground-up with the purpose to protect virtual environments, it’s very difficult to find anything nearly as comprehensive as the solutions the company provides. This, teamed with the fact that our data storage and cloud infrastructure solutions are founded on best practice in information security, compliance and good governance, enables us to offer an exceptional service to customers; one that is unrivalled by any other on the market. We enable customers to implement the golden rule of data storage, which is to keep three copies of your data on two different platforms, on two different media types, with one of them off-site.

“Achieving Veeam Gold Cloud and Services Provider status means that we will be able to fully take advantage of the current market opportunity. We believe that we are strongly aligned with Veeam’s solutions and look forward to identifying further opportunities that will empower our customers to attain a more resilient business,” adds McVey.

Adam Woolford, Cloud Channel Manager UK & IRL at Veeam, said: “As we operate on a channel-based business model, we recognise that the success of our partners directly impacts our overall success, so we are very pleased to have The Bunker as a Gold Cloud and Services Provider. The Bunker solves the growing challenges around security and compliance for its customers. Its unique and differentiated object-based storage value proposition supports our back-up cloud service model in a unique and ideal way. The Bunker has an impressive portfolio of longstanding customers, a well-defined service offering and holds a strong place within the storage market, due to its heritage in information security. Its top ten position clearly reflects this. Due to The Bunker’s commitment to being a highly secure and trusted partner, we are confident that together we can continue to make great strides.”
