Founded in 1995, Global Knowledge provides IT and business skills to both public and private sector organisations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Its core training is focused on Cisco, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, VMware, Citrix and IT best practice. With over 15 corporate offices around the world, Global Knowledge’s 1,500 employees are helping clients succeed in over 100 countries.

CIF is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve standards and education in the cloud industry. It provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice to endorse credible providers of cloud services and, through its Professional CIF Membership scheme, assists end users in determining the core information necessary to enable them to adopt such services with confidence.

Paul Renucci, President EMEA at Global Knowledge, commented: “We are committed to empowering organisations, teams and individuals with the necessary skills so they can leverage technologies for sustained success and competitive edge. Consequently, it is important that we draw on the knowledge and latest trends within the cloud industry so we can continue to deliver IT training that maximises technology investments and enhances employee productivity. By joining the Cloud Industry Forum, we will be able to remain at the forefront of the changing cloud market, enabling our customers to employ a best practice approach and succeed in their respective industries.”

Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF, added: “Having the correct knowledge and skills is vital in today’s cloud environments, especially when it comes to ensuring migrations are managed successfully. Global Knowledge understands this and is making great strides in empowering organisations with the skills and best practices needed, allowing these companies to leverage technology in the right way and gain a competitive advantage. There are clear synergies between CIF and Global Knowledge as we both have a commitment to providing education and guidance for those embarking on cloud adoption projects.

“Global Knowledge will help to bring greater support for our eLearning programme and this will help ensure that companies are educated on cloud realties and can identify how to de-risk and accelerate the cloud adoption journey. As a result, Global Knowledge comes as a very welcome addition and together I believe we can make great strides in bringing trust and transparency to the cloud industry,” concludes Alex.
