The dashboard aims to enhance the overall user experience by delivering interactive and comprehensive reports that allow IT managers and other users to see all the vulnerabilities across their IT infrastructure, as well as specific vulnerabilities across individual computers and devices. This helps businesses take a more proactive and effective approach towards cyber security issues.
It also provides clear insights into what each vulnerability is, the risk it presents and the other computers or devices (if any) that are suffering from the same issue. All vulnerabilities are rated on a scale of one to five — one being the least worrying issues and five being the most serious — which helps businesses prioritise their security efforts.
Gavin Russell, CEO, Wavex, says: “Cyber security is currently one of the top priorities for businesses across all sectors, but as time goes on it becomes increasingly difficult to guarantee effective protection against online threats. Many businesses find it’s the actual identification of the issues they struggle with: they need to first find those holes in their infrastructure before they’re able to do anything about them.
“The new dashboard within our APEX Secure suite makes this process easier, with simple, intuitive navigation that allows issues to be dealt with as soon as they arise. It isn’t just computers that are monitored, but also connected devices like printers and webcams, which are often more vulnerable to attack.”
Through the use of artificial intelligence, the new APEX Secure dashboard can also use all of the above information to identify what actions need to be taken to stay protected — a unique offering in the current marketplace.
“Very few businesses have tools and technology of this kind at their disposal, and instead they have to hire expensive consultants who take a number of weeks to identify all cyber security vulnerabilities. The new APEX Secure dashboard, however, is a much more proactive and cost-effective solution, that continuously monitors all vulnerabilities in near real-time and helps businesses deal with them on an ‘as and when’ basis. We believe this tool could help significantly help businesses fight back against the cyber threat,” concludes Russell.
