The German storage and server manufacturer and vendor was rewarded for its software-defined storage solution Sasquatch®. The DCS Awards are given annually based on an online voting and appreciate product developers, manufacturers, suppliers as well as providers from the European data center environment for their solutions.
„We’re happy and proud,“ says Sebastian Noelting, Managing Director of Rausch Netzwerktechnik GmbH, „that we were able to convince the voters of our work – the second time after 2014.“ These were particularly impressed by the adaptability of the solution to customer requirements as well as of the scalability of Sasquatch®.
Sasquatch® is the software-defined storage solution of Rausch Netzwerktechnik that can be used in projects about Virtualization, High Performance Computing and Big Data, as a Cloud or Hyper Convergence storage and as an All Flash or Object Storage platform, too. For this, the hardware is customized for every client and extended with tailormade software.
„Operators of data centers as well as corporate customers need more and more storage, if possible on the smallest space. In addition, it should be easily distributed or released via software. With Sasquatch®, we meet all these requirements,“ Noelting says. „On the one hand we use standard racks. They occupy little space and reduce costs. And on the other hand, we equip those racks in a way our clients benefit from highest performance, flexibility and scalability.”
