After facing substantial increases in cloud costs as the platform scaled, Sorted adopted a managed cloud service from ANS to cut costs and drive efficiencies in order to further develop its digital capabilities. Since the start of the year, the cloud and managed services provider has helped Sorted reduce the cost of running its cloud infrastructure by 40%, along with delivering billing insights, allowing budget allocation and driving security and governance.
Using its cloud infrastructure as a foundation, Sorted is now able to harnesses the power of next generation technology to transform the complex world of deliveries into a seamless experience for consumers.
Chris Macangus, Head of Commercial at Sorted, said: “ANS produced an architecture efficiency report as part of its cloud check service. This highlighted key recommendations to help us reduce our platform spend by up to 40% per month, as well as suggesting several architectural improvements. The assessment was absolutely invaluable to us and we are now confident that our cloud aligns to best practice, is well-optimised and is costing what it should.”
“Following on from the assessment, ANS’ managed service has freed up valuable time for our internal IT team to focus on driving and improving our digital capabilities, so that we can continue to equip our customers with the best technology to improve their fulfilment capabilities to meet the needs of shoppers and close the delivery experience gap.”
Andy Barrow, CTO at ANS Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with a fellow Manchester-based organisation with a big ambition and drive to close the delivery experience gap. As a likeminded forward-thinking organisation, we knew ANS were ideally placed to provide the public cloud expertise and management to improve Sorted’s operations and futureproof its capabilities."
