AFIBER selects maincubes Amsterdam

AFIBER, a leading provider of optical connectivity services, has selected to expand its service footprint with the maincubes AMS01 datacenter located in Schiphol-Rijk, part of the Amsterdam metro area. As from today, network and IT service providers can tap into AFIBER’s optical transmission services to deliver their services to maincubes customers, or connect maincubes to any destination within the AFIBER footprint covering 50+ data centers and 1500+ enterprise locations.

With AFIBER’s services, maincubes can now meet the high capacity connectivity demands of its customers, ranging from 1Gbps to 100Gbps multiples, while reducing average transmission latency by more than 50 percent compared to IP and Ethernet services. Cyber security solutions include cost-effective end-to-end optical encryption of high capacity network connections without impacting latency or throughput.

“Customers expect a data center to have a broad ecosystem of network and IT service providers available that enables them to build a solution that fits their purposes and provide the flexibility to grow their business on their own terms,” said Joris te Lintelo, Director of maincubes Amsterdam. “The addition of AFIBER’s connectivity services to the maincubes AMS01 data center in The Netherlands demonstrates that we are listening closely to the need for flexible connectivity and security requirements of our customers.”
