Pulsant strengthens leadership team with CSO and CTO appointments

Pulsant, a leading UK provider of regional data centre and cloud infrastructure services, has announced two new appointments to its leadership team.

Stephen Ball has been named Chief Sales Officer (CSO) while Simon Michie, who joined Pulsant as Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in March, will now assume the role on a permanent basis.

As CSO, Ball will be responsible for leading Pulsant’s sales organisation and client engagement. He has held strategic sales leadership roles within the IT services sector, achieving commercial success for organisations such as Aspect Software, Hitachi Data Systems, Orange Business Services, EMC and Computacenter.

“I am incredibly excited to join the Pulsant team. With a national network of data centres and a rich portfolio of cloud infrastructure services, Pulsant is strongly positioned to help businesses across the UK navigate their digital transformation journeys. Pulsant’s success has been built on a reputation for service, reliability and security and I am looking forward to building on this to create value for our customers,” says Ball.

As CTO, Michie will be responsible for enhancing and leading the company's technological vision and product strategy. Focused on understanding customers’ business challenges, he will work closely with teams across the business to develop and standardise Pulsant’s product portfolio and enhance service experience. Previously CTO at Redcentric, Michie is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience leading product and technology strategy.

“I’ve been tracking Pulsant’s progress for the last five years and have been impressed by Pulsant’s reputation for innovation and great customer service. I am really looking forward to working with the professional and energetic team here and leading the company’s technology strategy during this hugely important period for our customers as they accelerate their digital journeys,” says Michie.

Commenting on both appointments, Rob Coupland, Pulsant CEO, adds: “Stephen and Simon bring a wealth of experience to Pulsant and will play a valuable role in ensuring we continue to deliver the best possible solutions and service to our customers. Stephen is a great addition to what already is a strong leadership team, while Simon has quickly established himself in Pulsant during his period as interim CTO. Both will be instrumental in our mission to help companies navigate their digital transformation journey with robust, secure, reliable and connected data centre and cloud infrastructure services.”
