Sopra Steria and OVHcloud deploy their combined service offering in Europe

Sopra Steria, a European leader in consulting, digital services, and software development, and OVHcloud, a global player and European leader in the Cloud, have expanded their partnership in Europe. The aim is to provide an operational response to public and economic players, in particular Operators of Vital Importance (OIV), wishing to accelerate their digital transformation and guarantee the sovereignty of their sensitive data. The two partners are presenting the first concrete use cases for the administration, energy, and health sectors.

A strong partnership with European and international aspirations

The strong partnership between Sopra Steria and OVHcloud is the result of the combination of their know-how and complementary expertise in the supply, deployment, operation, and security of the sovereign cloud.

Secured, hosted, and operated in Europe, the joint offering is based on Sopra Steria's “Trusted Digital Platform”, which provides the agility and scalability required to accelerate digital transformation. The Trusted Digital Platform, which has been awarded with the Open Trusted Cloud[1] label by OVHcloud, now provides European customers with technological and sector-specific digital services tailored to their specific business needs and accessible through a joint catalogue.

First concrete sectorial use cases based on AI, Data and IoT

In the public sector, Sopra Steria is working with the French Ministry of Ecological Transition to implement its PLAT'AU (PLATeforme des Autorisations d'Urbanisme, a platform for urban planning authorizations), a digital system for building permit applications.

For energy ecosystem stakeholders, Sopra Steria and its partners are offering a sovereign datahub solution in SaaS mode. In the context of the energy transition and the market opening to competition, this service enables these players to use and exchange their data more accurately, quickly, and securely.

For healthcare ecosystem stakeholders, Sopra Steria has developed a certified Health Data Hosting (HDS) platform on which digital business accelerators (digital identity, health documents, medical agenda, etc.) are deployed in response to their specific needs.

These first large-scale projects demonstrate the relevance of Sopra Steria's and OVHcloud's shared value propositions in terms of agility, confidentiality, security, and transparency.

A flexible end-to-end trusted services platform

In order to accelerate the digital transformation of public sector players and OIVs, trust in the cloud is a central component to Sopra Steria’s and OVHcloud’s strategy and commitment. Building on the qualifications and certifications already obtained, the two companies are continuing to invest in an optimal response to sovereignty issues.

Based on OVHcloud infrastructures, the Trusted Digital Platform is flexible, secured by design, and operated end-to-end by Sopra Steria experts. This joint offering is already available for all Sopra Steria Group countries and provides access to IT resources and digital services on a pay-per-use basis:

This international deployment confirms our shared ambition to propose and deploy concrete approaches for our European customers.”  said Cyril Malargé, Chief Operating Officer at Sopra Steria Group.

“Development of a European cloud industry is essential to strengthen the technological sovereignty of the continent's companies and administrations. The international expansion of the joint digital services offer developed with Sopra Steria confirms our commitment to promoting and proposing solutions that comply with our principles of openness, reversibility, and transparency.”  said Michel Paulin, Chief Operating Officer of OVHcloud.
