Aqua Security has announced the European launch of its platform as a SaaS solution, a unique and comprehensive security tool designed to protect cloud native applications and stop cloud native attacks. Customers located in the EU who are subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) can now take advantage of the flexibility and ease of adoption of a SaaS service based in the Frankfurt region, while still conforming to data privacy and residency requirements.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), SaaS providers must ensure customers’ personal data receives adequate protection and safeguards, and that no personal data are transferred outside of the EU to a jurisdiction without equivalent data protections. With the GA of the Aqua Platform SaaS hosted in Frankfurt, customers can now easily adopt cloud native security from code to production while complying with data protection requirements and data transfer restrictions.

The launch of the comprehensive Aqua SaaS in Europe builds on hosted services already being utilised by customers in region: Aqua’s CyberCenter threat intelligence and vulnerability information database for scanning, and Dynamic Threat Analysis (DTA).

The SaaS service provides runtime protection and threat monitoring policies for all workloads including, including managed container platforms, serverless and virtual machines in public cloud and on-premises. The full suite of functionality allows EU-based customers in government, banking, financial services as well as other regulated sectors to adopt SaaS to harden their cloud native security and compliance.

“Our customer base in Europe is growing rapidly, and we are committed to meeting regional needs and requirements,” said Arne Jacobsen, Senior Director Sales EMEA at Aqua. “Aqua SaaS expands the deployment options, and now customers can adopt our integrated and unified platform to protect the full cloud native application lifecycle and do so with the assurance of regional compliance.”
