The appointment bolsters the company's senior leadership team and further demonstrates its commitment to supporting governmental, public sector and defence customers with secure, scalable, and quick-to-deploy mission-critical infrastructure systems across the UK and Europe.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, including nine years at Schneider Electric, the global leader in energy management and automation, Anthony brings extensive knowledge of the defence landscape, technical infrastructure, and sustainability strategies for mission-critical applications.
His longstanding, specialised experience, most recently as UK Defence Segment Lead for Schneider Electric, allowed him to work closely with the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), front-line commands, and tier one contractors, which will be instrumental in supporting EfficiencyIT's growing portfolio of government and defence-sector projects.
"Anthony's appointment marks a significant step forward in our strategic efforts to support the UK's defence and governmental sectors, and more so as requirements for secure, resilient mission-critical systems become more prevalent," said Nick Ewing, Managing Director, EfficiencyIT. "His experience and insight enhances the depth and capability of our leadership team, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers in some of the country's most demanding operational environments."
At Schneider Electric, Anthony led the dedicated defence activities, developed a modernised UK defence strategy, and successfully repositioned the company as a trusted thought leader in energy resiliency and sustainability across the MOD estate. He also chaired the company's Military Ambassador Group, helping veterans transition into civilian careers while championing the Armed Forces Covenant, for which the company was awarded Silver Status in 2024.
During his career, Anthony also sat on a trade association executive committee for Defence Infrastructure, where he represented SMEs within the sector and contributed direct industry insight to the Strategic Defence Review.
Commenting on his appointment, Anthony said: "I'm proud to join EfficiencyIT at a time when the UK defence sector is undergoing major digital transformation. The company's focus on secure, scalable, prefabricated data centre solutions aligns perfectly with the operational requirements of defence customers, and I look forward to supporting them with mission-critical infrastructure that's fit for a future, which is shifting towards greater use of autonomy and Artificial Intelligence within the UK’s conventional forces.”
Anthony's role centres on supporting EfficiencyIT's current and prospective government and defence customers in designing, delivering, and maintaining high-performance digital infrastructure. His appointment comes amid the government's recent Strategic Defence Review, which aims to create an engine for growth—driving jobs and prosperity via new partnerships with industry, radical procurement reforms, and backing of UK businesses.
Anthony’s appointment brings additional depth and expertise to EfficiencyIT’s leadership team and reflects its continued focus on delivering resilient, secure, and sustainable solutions across the UK’s most vital sectors.
