PKF Littlejohn soon to enhance IT efficiency with ControlUp's advanced solution

PKF Littlejohn integrates ControlUp ONE platform to enhance IT infrastructure monitoring and employee experience.

ControlUp, a leader in Digital Employee Experience (DEX) management, recently partnered with PKF Littlejohn, a prominent UK accountancy, audit, and advisory firm, to incorporate the ControlUp ONE platform. This strategic move promises to offer real-time, proactive infrastructure monitoring across PKF Littlejohn's IT network.

Situated in key cities such as London, Leeds, and Manchester, PKF Littlejohn stands as the leading auditor of AIM-listed companies in the UK. Additionally, it ranks fifth among UK stock market clients based on the Corporate Adviser Rankings guide. With ambitious expansion plans, the firm intends to increase its workforce from 450 to over 900 by 2025, alongside enlarging its Canary Wharf base by 66%.

In pursuit of efficient IT service scaling, PKF Littlejohn opted for ControlUp’s services. This decision was informed by the need for enhanced insight into endpoint performance, faster resolution of remote work challenges, and overall optimisation of infrastructure amidst its dynamic work environment.

Addressing Real-World IT Challenges

  1. Enhancing End-User Experience: The ControlUp platform empowers IT support teams to identify and solve performance bottlenecks efficiently, avoiding unnecessary interventions.
  2. Optimising VDI Resources: The platform assists in evaluating VDI configurations to ensure optimal resource allocation, helping in critical decision-making regarding user migration from desktops to VDI.
  3. Efficient Server Planning: As PKF Littlejohn rapidly expands, ControlUp offers pre-emptive server stress alerts, optimising resources before issues surface.

ControlUp also aids in sustainable IT planning, offering insightful data that guides hardware upgrades or retirement, ultimately driving cost and environmental savings. In a notable instance, a remote employee's connectivity issue was swiftly diagnosed, showcasing the platform's problem-solving prowess.

Seamless Implementation and Integration

Following a smooth in-house trial earlier in 2023, the full ControlUp ONE platform deployment wrapped up in July 2025. This integration was executed without external help, highlighting the platform's user-friendly nature. The comprehensive support provided by ControlUp aligns with PKF Littlejohn’s strategy, paving the path towards pre-emptive IT issue management and exceptional employee experiences.

Simon Townsend from ControlUp emphasised the benefits: in high-growth scenarios like that of PKF Littlejohn, ControlUp grants much-needed operational visibility, keeping firms agile and workforce operations uninterrupted, irrespective of location or device.
