Sharp launches cyber security and AI consulting services for UK businesses

Sharp introduces new packages and services to boost UK organisations' security and AI utilisation.

Sharp, a prominent technology partner, has unveiled their latest offerings aimed at bolstering cyber security and aiding AI integration within UK organisations. The introduction of Cyber Security Packages and a specialised Microsoft Copilot Consulting Service seeks to streamline technology adoption and enhance protection measures.

AI technology is increasingly employed across UK businesses to enhance productivity. According to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics, around 1 in 7 UK businesses now utilise some form of AI for operational tasks. However, along with these productivity gains come concerns about Shadow AI, which refers to AI tools being used without the approval of IT departments, thereby posing significant security risks.

In a recent survey conducted by Sharp Europe involving over 1,000 UK businesses, findings highlighted a dichotomy between rising cyber security awareness and employee practices. Despite 86% of employees expressing increased concern about cyber threats compared to last year, two-thirds admitted to engaging in precarious tech behaviours at work. Notably, 50% of the workforce identified AI as a primary factor heightening these concerns.

The new IT services from Sharp are specifically tailored for organisations navigating an evolving AI-oriented business landscape. Designed to fortify fundamental cyber security measures, the packages intend to aid UK companies in adopting a security-first mindset, ensuring robust defences while utilising Microsoft Copilot effectively.

Simon Jefferies, the Director of Technology at Sharp UK, commented, "When AI tools are deployed without proper oversight and organisations operate without the minimum levels of cyber security protection in place, sensitive company data, intellectual property theft and compliance violations are very real risks. The goal we have with our new Cyber Security Packages is to simplify the basics of cyber security, ensuring our clients are protected above and beyond just the minimum levels they need."

These security packages cater to both Microsoft-centric businesses and others using alternative tech solutions. By incorporating essential security practices, they provide robust protection against cyber threats and lay the groundwork for critical certifications such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.

Sharp's Microsoft Copilot Consulting Services provide expert advice to facilitate the secure and effective adoption of Microsoft Copilot. The consultancy ensures alignment with corporate goals, governance, and regulatory frameworks. A key component of the service is the delivery of bespoke training sessions, equipping teams to embrace the cultural shift towards AI with confidence, ensuring a return on investment.
