CirrusHQ enhances sales strategy with new leadership

CirrusHQ strengthens its sales team, appointing Gary Beddow to drive cloud business development, focusing on public sector innovation.

Scotland’s AWS Premier Partner, CirrusHQ, has appointed Gary Beddow as Head of Business Development. The appointment follows the recent recruitment of Matt Smith as Head of Sales, as part of efforts to develop the company’s sales function.

CirrusHQ, an AWS cloud specialist and Premier Tier Services Partner, has expanded its sales structure with the introduction of the new role. Gary Beddow joins from cloud-first solutions provider Digital Space, where he held a similar position for several years. He has experience working with public sector organisations and within the wider AWS ecosystem.

Cloud-first strategies are increasingly used across the public sector, with local councils and central government departments adopting cloud technologies for scalability and operational resilience. The sector is also seeing increased adoption of AI technologies, with cloud platforms providing the underlying data infrastructure to support them.

Gary Beddow’s experience in cloud services and the public sector is intended to support CirrusHQ’s customers in their cloud transformation processes. His responsibilities include supporting cloud migration, managing secure environments, and working with organisations using new technologies, including generative AI tools.

He reports into CirrusHQ Chief Revenue Officer Stephen Croke and joins following the appointment of Matt Smith as Head of Sales.
