Enhancing emergency connectivity: Contrivian's Horizon Plus

Contrivian extends its reach with the Horizon Plus, enhancing connectivity for field teams, emergency responders, and remote operations.

Contrivian, a technology company focused on connectivity solutions, has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of the Contrivian Horizon Plus. The system is designed to extend field connectivity into remote areas for sectors that require real-time access and communication.

Building on the existing Contrivian Horizon product line, Horizon Plus integrates with low-Earth orbit satellite services, including Starlink, as well as bespoke multi-carrier systems such as 5G/LTE routers. It also incorporates SD-WAN capabilities to support connectivity across a range of applications, including military deployments, disaster response, and mobile healthcare environments.

Horizon Plus is designed to provide an always-on connection, enabling access to real-time tracking, telemetry, and remote video monitoring for users operating in remote or challenging locations. According to Contrivian, the technology was used during the Palisades fires in Los Angeles to support first responders by providing communication capabilities.

The Contrivian Horizon Go, an extension of the product line, is available in either a hard case or backpack configuration to provide a portable deployment kit for emergency response. It is intended for use by solo responders and small teams that require mobile connectivity in the field.

The product portfolio also includes Contrivian NorthStar and Contrivian Lighthouse, which together form a connectivity management ecosystem designed to support continuous operations. According to the company, these products are intended to provide an integrated connectivity framework across its portfolio.

With the introduction of Horizon Plus, Contrivian has expanded its range of mission-critical connectivity solutions. The company says the system is designed to help organisations maintain connectivity in demanding environments while integrating multiple communication technologies into a single platform.

As disaster response requirements and remote operations continue to evolve, demand for resilient connectivity solutions is increasing. Contrivian's product portfolio is designed to support emergency responders, remote sites, and critical infrastructure by providing connectivity systems for operational communications.
