The Open Group announces the publication of the Open Trusted Technology Provider Standard (O-TTPS)™, the first complete standard published by The Open Group Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF)™ and which will benefit global providers and acquirers of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products. NextiraOne has announced the signing of an agreement with the Regional Police Headquarters in Rzeszów to build an IP telephony and multimedia information system, which will include connecting 24 police stations in Podkarpackie. The project, which will replace the traditional telephony system, will be co-financed from EU funds raised by the Regional Police Headquarters in Rzeszów.
Kabel Deutschland, the largest cable operator in Germany, has selected ADVA Optical Networking’s 100G coherent transport for a new nationwide backbone network. Forming part of ADVA Optical Networking's Agile Core solution, Kabel Deutschland will deploy 100G technology along with multi-degree, directionless ROADMs. Consisting of 26 major nodes and more than 50 intermediate sites, this network includes a fully meshed backbone throughout Germany.
Emulex Corporation has announced the results of definitive 100Gb Ethernet (100GbE) performance tests that demonstrated incredible strides being made by Endace, a division of Emulex, in the capacity for full-stream recording over high speed networks.
