ASX taps into London’s financial community with Interxion

The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has chosen to host their ASX Net Global Point of Presence (PoP) at Interxion’s City of London data centre. ASX Net Global will provide London-and European based trading firms with cross connect access to all of ASX’s derivatives and equity products, particularly to its flagship interest rate futures.

Comtec has announced the opening of its new Manchester office as part of continued business growth. As of September 2nd the office will be focusing on solutions to current business issues such as BYOD and Enterprise Mobility, Converged Infrastructure and datacentre efficiency. The team will be working closely with Cisco, Aruba, APC by Schneider Electric and Flexpod to deliver these solutions.

Channel challenged in hybrid IT model

The channel has to change; it has been guilty of keeping cloud away from smaller and mid-sized businesses. New routes to market are by-passing both IT departments and traditional channels, however just as channel selling methods need updating; it is likely that most salespeople won't survive the transfer to the new models.
