Skyscape joins VMware Cloud Credits program

VMware Program simplifies and facilitates use of public and hybrid cloud allowing businesses to buy, secure and manage cloud spending in one transaction.

Skyscape Cloud Services Limited has announced its participation in the VMware Cloud Credits Purchasing Program (CCPP). The Program enables businesses to take advantage of public or hybrid cloud as a comprehensive IT strategy through the purchase of VMware Cloud Credits.

Launched in February this year, the CCPP was designed to allow customers to secure cloud spend within a budget or project cycle, and control business consumption of the cloud. Customers can buy cloud services in one single transaction and benefits of the Program’s consumption model include budget flexibility, cost visibility and control, ease of use and risk mitigation.

Joining a select group of VMware Service Providers, Skyscape will be able help accelerate the UK public sector to take advantage of cloud economics and improved business agility, while reducing IT capital expenditure. The Program will also help UK public sector organisations adhere to the Government’s ‘Public Cloud First’ mandate.

“Skyscape has been instrumental in helping UK public sector organisations rethink their procurement and use of ICT,” said Cliff Keast, head of public sector at VMware. “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with Skyscape and welcoming them on to the VMware CCPP to help public sector organisations maintain control and visibility of their cloud spend.”

“The VMware Cloud Credits Purchasing Program is taking huge steps towards helping businesses better understand and use cloud services,” commented Phil Dawson, CEO of Skyscape. “We’re excited to be part of this Program and to work with VMware to continue to focus on helping the UK Government to reduce costs, while ultimately improving services for public sector staff, citizens and tax payers.”
