HP helps ISVs move to the Cloud

HP has introduced HP ISV2SaaS, a new program designed to help independent software vendors (ISVs) target new markets by changing their business model to become software as-a-service (SaaS) providers.

Leveraging the open, security-enhanced HP Helion cloud portfolio, HP ISV2SaaS will connect ISVs with a network of service providers who can help transform their applications for the cloud while ensuring compliance with country-specific security and data sovereignty regulations.

“The demand for data sovereignty has slowed down some ISVs in their journeys to the cloud,” says Gilles Thiebaut, vice president, enterprise group indirect sales EMEA, HP. “With ready-to-go, standardized services and predefined contracts, HP ISV2SaaS will enable ISVs to change their financials from one-time license sales to ongoing pay-per-use revenue.”

By allowing ISVs to leverage the application expertise of local cloud service providers to cost-effectively transform, run, optimize and monitor their SaaS applications, HP ISV2SaaS will enable them to grow revenue without the need to invest in or manage infrastructure. As a result, they will be able to focus their application resources on product development and ensure that their customers’ service-level agreements for security, performance, reliability and application availability are met.
