DE-CIX Istanbul expands to Zenium Istanbul One

DE-CIX's Istanbul Internet exchange will open a new Point of Presence (PoP) at the Zenium Istanbul One data center in Istanbul, Turkey. This new PoP will further enhance the reach of DE-CIX Istanbul, which delivers carrier and data-center neutral Internet exchange services for Internet service providers from Turkey, the Caucasus region, Persia and the Middle East.

DE-CIX Istanbul is already serving customers in the multi-tenanted and carrier-neutral MedNautilus building, offering access to networks from all data center operators in the building. The new DE-CIX Istanbul enabled site Zenium Istanbul One is strategically located in close proximity to the International Financial Center (IFC) and within easy reach of the historic business district. The data center provides 12,000 square meters of space across three purpose-built data centers.

"The growth potential of Internet traffic in Turkey is tremendous, and more
and more networks are enhancing their IP quality and reducing costs by exchanging traffic locally instead of sending it via Western European routes," explains B?lent ?en, DE-CIX Regional Director of Turkey. "With Zenium, we have found a reliable partner to expand our platform to an additional district in Istanbul, focusing on the rising need for high speed reliable interconnection services in the International
Financial Center," B?lent ?en continues.

Julian King, Managing Director Zenium Germany, adds:"Zenium is proud to be
chosen as partner for the further growth of DE-CIX Istanbul. Our customers rely on not only premium data center standards, but also on the best possible connectivity.

With DE-CIX Istanbul present at Zenium Istanbul One, we can fulfill this need."
