Oleon’s Qloe dielectric fluid has been approved for use in Airsys’s award-winning LiquidRack™ system, following a comprehensive testing program conducted at Airsys's laboratories in South Carolina, USA.
The collaboration between Airsys and Oleon comes at a critical moment in the evolution of Data Centre infrastructure. As demand for high-performance computing, AI, and edge applications continues to grow, so too does the need for more efficient and sustainable cooling solutions, that can manage the high heat loads created by these technologies.
Liquid cooling is rapidly gaining prominence as the preferred solution for modern Data Centres. Traditional air-based systems are increasingly unable to cope with the rising heat densities of today’s powerful processors. In contrast, liquid cooling provides superior thermal management, enabling higher performance while reducing energy consumption.
The LiquidRack™ represents a breakthrough in Data Centre cooling technology, leveraging precision spray liquid cooling to deliver superior thermal performance. By spraying the CPUs directly, LiquidRack™ significantly enhances the heat transfer coefficient and reduces the amount of fluid required compared to traditional immersion cooling methods. Its ability to operate effectively at elevated fluid temperatures enables year-round free cooling, eliminating the need for mechanical chillers and drastically lowering energy consumption. These elevated fluid temperatures also offer more options for heat recovery, enabling the heat generated by the Data Centre to be repurposed for district heating or hot water usage.
