Filo Systems joins NetApp's Excellerator program

Filo Systems joins NetApp Excellerator to refine its AI-driven data compression solutions.

Filo Systems, a leader in the lossless compression domain, has been selected to participate in NetApp's Excellerator program. This flagship initiative focuses on mentoring B2B deep tech startups, offering Filo mentorship, technological guidance, and access to NetApp's extensive customer and partner ecosystems.

The program is crafted around a PoC model, allowing Filo to extensively test Filo Spaces™ in real-world environments. This will help the company refine its market strategy and optimize its offerings. As the wave of AI reshapes industries, NetApp's initiative aims to equip early-stage innovators with the tools and guidance necessary to lead the way.

The current cohort includes five companies specializing in AI infrastructure, cloud security, data compression, and large language models (LLMs):

  • Filo Systems (data compression)
  • Synthefy (multi-modal time series models)
  • Sentra (cloud data security)
  • TrueFoundry (ML/LLM deployment platform)
  • Genloop.ai (customized LLM deployment)

Etamar Laron, CEO and co-founder of Filo, emphasized the selection as a recognition, highlighting, "We are excited for being selected to the NetApp Excellerator program and be recognized as a leading company developing advanced compression solutions with AI technologies for enterprise customers worldwide."

As businesses face skyrocketing data usage and storage demands, compression becomes essential across industries. The program will highlight Filo's unique solution benefits, enhancing flexibility to address diverse use case scenarios. Filo's mission is to boost business data efficiency by significantly reducing storage and transfer costs while accelerating delivery speeds.

From optimizing datacenter storage to enhancing software transfer, Filo's offerings cater to diverse applications, including websites and high-resolution images, among other services.

Expressing enthusiasm, Vasanthi Ramesh, Managing Director at NetApp India, shared, "We're excited to welcome and partner with startups that are building transformative solutions using advanced technologies." She also stressed the program's offerings—resources, mentorship, and technological expertise—to enable scaling and foresaw collaborative success shaping tech's future on a global platform.

Launched in 2017, the NetApp Excellerator program has supported startups that collectively raised over $600 million in funding, including $25 million in recent months. NetApp, an intelligent data infrastructure company, provides unified storage, integrated services, and necessary solutions for advanced data management.
