Güntner Group, a company in heat exchange technology, has appointed Yan Evans as Managing Director for its Global Data Centre Business. The appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on the data centre infrastructure sector.

Yan Evans is a Chartered Engineer and joins Güntner Group from FläktGroup, where he worked in Europe’s HVAC industry. During more than seven years there, he led the company’s global data centre activities across the EMEA, AMER, and APAC regions.

In his new role at Güntner Group, Yan will be responsible for overseeing data centre operations across the company’s Güntner and JAEGGI brands, which are known in the market for their cooling technologies used by hyperscale data centre operators. His responsibilities include coordinating data centre-related activities across these brands to support a more integrated approach.

Working with regional leadership teams, Yan will focus on supporting the company’s development in key international markets. The data centre sector continues to expand, and the company aims to further engage with large-scale and hyperscale customers globally.

Michael Bauer, responsible for Global Sales, Growth, and Success at Güntner Group, commented on the timing of the appointment, noting the importance of data centres as a growth area and the need for partners with strong manufacturing capabilities to meet increasing demand.

Yan’s role is expected to support customer engagement and existing partnerships, as well as contribute to the company’s presence in strategically important markets. He noted Güntner Group’s experience in data centre technology and highlighted its manufacturing capabilities, industry relationships, and focus on performance, efficiency, and sustainability as relevant to future development in the sector.
