ServiceNow has announced plans to expand its cybersecurity offerings through the acquisition of Armis. The deal, valued at $7.75 billion in cash, reflects ServiceNow’s plans to strengthen its cyber risk management by integrating Armis’s experience in overseeing cyber exposure across IT, operational technology (OT), medical devices, and critical infrastructure.
Armis aims to provide cyber-physical security solutions that connect real-time asset discovery with threat intelligence and automated remediation workflows. The acquisition seeks a unified approach to handling security exposure across technology landscapes worldwide, strengthening ServiceNow's AI-native, proactive cybersecurity offerings by reducing risks across all connected devices.
As ServiceNow integrates Armis's cyber risk management with its platform, this move addresses the rising worldwide threats posed by the increased adoption of AI. With end-user spending on information security predicted to hit $240 billion by 2026, the ability to comprehend vulnerabilities in real-time is critical for any organisation. The added capabilities hope to extend ServiceNow’s Security, Risk, and OT portfolios and triple its market potential in these domains.
ServiceNow and Armis have a long-standing partnership, featuring multiple integrations that merge Armis's in-depth, real-time data with ServiceNow's workflow actions. This collaborative venture aims to enhance ServiceNow's cyber defence strategies through an AI-driven security platform.
Together, these companies aim to drive protection across sectors such as manufacturing and healthcare, where cyber-physical assets play an important role, helping security teams maintain a proactive approach to potential threats.
The transaction, anticipated to be finalised in the latter half of 2026, is subject to typical regulatory approvals and will see the Armis team joining ServiceNow. ServiceNow plans to financially support this venture through a mix of cash reserves and accumulated debt.
In summary, this acquisition expands ServiceNow’s capabilities in AI and integrated cybersecurity, supporting organisations in managing and responding to threats across their technology environments.
